National Art Honor Society at Northwest
The National Art Honor Society meetings are held during WIN period. This is a National organization, not a club, which has requirements and fees to join, as listed below.
Purpose:
Recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art.
Serve as an inspiration for students to strive for higher goals in their work.
Foster excellence and a dedicated spirit in the pursuit of art.
Encourage the creative abilities and talents of the individual student.
Assist students in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in the field of art.
Bring art to the attention of the school and community.
Increase the awareness of art as a viable area within the total school curriculum.
Advance aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the total educational program.
Reasons to Join:
- Great artistic opportunities at school and away from school.
- We do fun community service activities around Greensboro.
- Being a member and a leader in the National Art Honor Society looks great on a high school transcript, resume, or college application.
Requirements of Student:
- 9th –12th graders
- Must represent yourself as a student of honor and good character
- Must be, or have been in Art for one (1) semester
- Must maintain a minimum grade average of a “B”
- Previous level of achievement must remain fixed.
- Members may remain active even if Art is not on their schedule.
- Students must complete 10 service hours

$10 Underclassmen
$25 Seniors (this includes the graduation cord)
